Parents - If you want your son to have some fun and excitement, and a chance to participate in a program in which he doesn’t always have to win – instead, he learns about “Do your best” and how to be helpful to others – then we have just the program for you!

Cub Scouting is a program designed to support and encourage quality family involvement for boys in the first through fifth grades. Each Cub Scout learns to respect his home, country, other people, and himself. The program also helps boys to:

• Learn new physical skills through sports, crafts, and games.

• Learn how to get along with others through group activities.

• Develop personal independence.

• Learn to make values-based decisions that assist them throughout their adult life.

• Develop a sense of belonging.

• Develop leadership skills and self confidence.

On Dec 30, 2006, Several parents from San Tan Ranch got together with Boys Scouts of America and chartered Pack 125. There were no other Traditional Cub Scout Packs in the area, but we all wanted our boys to be involved in a youth program that helps develop character, leadership, and personal independence.

Our first year had its share of bumps and bruises. Leaders came and went, and holding the pack together seemed like an impossible feat. After a brief summer haitus, a roundup was held to recruit new scouts as well as leaders capable of sharing responsiblity for the success of the pack.

As we go into our 4th year, our Pack 125 is running smoother than ever before. Our leaders ar enthusiastic, and our boys are anxious to learn. We go on monthly outings as a pack like camping, hiking, horse riding.  We have monthly pack meetings, and our special events, such as the Pinewood Derby and Blue and Gold Banquet, were phenomenal.
